Lead

Past:

She led the new project.
He led the investigation.
I was leading a team; you were leading a department.
We had led several successful product launches.
They had been leading the company into debt.
I think they led us on about our finances.

verb phrase: lead on = encourage someone to believe something that is not true

Present:

She leads most new projects.
He leads any investigation of new technology.
I am leading a group; you are leading the division.
For a while now, we have led the industry.
They have been leading our company into more debt.
I think they are leading us on about the money.

Future:

She will lead the latest project.
He will lead our technology investigations.
I will be leading the new analytics division.
By the end of next year, we will have led the industry in sales.
I predict that by October they will have been leading our company into dangerous levels of debt.
It is possible that they will lead us on about our finances.
