Know

Past:

I knew what was going to happen.
He knew the decision had been made.
She had known the reasons.
Our dog escaped. It knew we were going to give it a bath.
Our neighbors laughed. They had known what was going to happen.
We knew that dog inside out; we were ready to chase it.

verb phrase: know X inside out = have thorough knowledge about X

Present:

I know what happens next.
He knows what they decided.
She knows all the reasons why.
Our dog knows when we are going to give it a bath.
We have known since it was a puppy that it hates getting wet.
We know that dog inside out, so we close the doors first.

Future:

I will know what happens because I will watch carefully.
He will know what they are likely to decide.
She will know all the reasons why.
Our dog is not stupid. It will know when we prepare a bath for it.
By next year, we will have known all there is to know about that dog.
We will know the new dog inside out because we will spend a lot of time with it.
